Up for sale is a Patek Philippe 18k Pink Gold & Enamel 1/4 Repeating Open Face Pocket Watch c. 1886, Retailed by Enrico Volpe, Bari.
This piece was part of Christie’s historic Patek Philippe 175th Anniversary Sale, which included the rarest, most sought-after, beautiful timepieces representing Patek Philippe’s expert craftsmanship.
Case: Signed, round, 18k pink gold case no. 66171 measures 55mm, weighs approx. 142g, and features a slide to activate repeater in the fluted caseband, numbered 18k cuvette signed by the maker and retailer, and hinged guilloche case-back centered with painted enamel coat-of-arms.
Dial: Signed, white enamel dial with black Breguet hour markers, blued steel Breguet hands, subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and outer minute track.
Movement: Manual winding, quarter repeating mechanical movement no. 66171.
Condition: In excellent vintage condition.
Accessories: Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives, and a special Patek Philippe 175 box and silver coin commemorating the 175th anniversary.
