In the time period that this timepiece was produced, it was common practice for so call called ‘Etablissement’ houses to buy movements from movement makers. LeCoultre was the biggest movement maker during this period, supplying Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet (who also made their own movements), Girard-Perregaux, Cartier and many others. The discovery of the Jaeger Le-Coultre signature on the movement of this timepiece determines that this watch was produced collaboratively by Girard-Perregaux and Jaeger-LeCoultre.
