Up for sale is a Huguenin Freres / Fabrique Niel hunting case pocket watch in a rare lavishly decorated niello silver case. Movement No. 1862547, Case No. 23, 52 mm, 98 g, circa 1905 Case is Niello silver, inlaid foliate scrolls and banner: “Freundschaft – Belehrung – Solidarität – Fundatum 1877” and six-pointed star. Inner lid with presentation engraving: “Dem verdienstvollen Beisitzenden der Schweiz. Landes Verwaltung Herrn I. Fugner gewidm. von den Schweiz. Sectionen des I.G.V.”. Dial is white enamel, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, blued Breguet hands. Movement is 4/5 plate, frosted, gilt, screw compensation balance, index spring fine adjusting device.
