Signed Breguet, movement stamped AB France for Bontems, No. 2198, manufactured in 1955 and sold to Monsieur Esteban Gay on 27 December 1955 Rectangular gilt brass movement, going barrel and rectangular bellows, rectangular box with rounded corners, entirely decorated with chased and engine-turned geometrical and floral decoration in high relief, hinged oval lid centered by a trophy of flowers, opening to reveal the singing bird and a pierced and engraved foliage decorated grill, activated on request, the bird will rotate on its axis, flap its wings and tail and open its beak, in time to a lifelike imitated bird song, the bird also set with realistically multicolored feathers, when the song has finished the bird will automatically retreat inside the box and the lid will close, 96 mm. x 59 mm. x 36 mm.
