Up for sale is a Rare Rolex 18k Pink Gold “Empire” (Ref 3716) Oyster Perpetual c. 1934. Round, 18k pink gold case, no. 56420, measures 32mm, and features a screw on crown signed Rolex Oyster and screw on case back with an engraving that reads “Recuerdo de San Julian Diciembre 1946”. Signed, silvered dial with gold Arabic numerals and baton indexes, a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position, and pink gold baton hands. Brown genuine leather band. Automatic movement no. N 12518. In good vintage condition.
The Rolex “Empire” was the first case design using their first self-winding movement, Oyster Perpetual, which first came to market in 1931.
