Up for sale is a Urban Jurgensen ‘The Virgin Mary’ 18k Yellow Gold, Enamel and Diamond Art Nouveau Pocket Watch, c. 1923. Signed round 18k yellow gold three-body solid thing case no. 5454, measures 30mm, with pillar motif engraved hinged caseback featuring guilloche enamel with bow decoration bordered by rose-cut diamonds and centered with the virgin Mary. Bezels with enamel blue and white borders and outer band with engraved floral motif. Signed champagne guilloche dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. Signed mechanical rhodium-plated movement, 18 jewels, with straight-line lever escapement, wolf’s tooth winding, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, and index regulator.
