ABOUT US & Our Journey
In the 1960s, Alex Fossner and his son, Peter, moved to New York City from Czechoslovakia to escape political turmoil. Being a skilled watchmaker, Mr. Fossner opened Fossner Timepieces in the Upper East Side circa 1969. He quickly established a large following due to his fine quality workmanship, and his small store soon became a haven for many great timepieces from around the world.
Peter now serves as a consultant to collectors, museums, and auction houses worldwide including Sotheby’s and Christie’s. He regularly attends prominent watch auctions globally and is a member of the American IWJG.
Over the years, Fossner Timepieces have acquired a broad selection of exquisite, preowned and vintage horological pieces of art. From Patek Philippe, to Audemars Piguet, Rolex, A. Lange & Sohne , Cartier and more; Peter buys and sells the most elite watches in the world.
