ABOUT US & Our Journey
In the 1960s, Alex Fossner and his son, Peter, moved to New York City from Czechoslovakia to escape political turmoil. Being a skilled watchmaker, Mr. Fossner opened Fossner Timepieces in the Upper East Side circa 1969. He quickly established a large following due to his fine quality workmanship, and his small store soon became a haven for many great timepieces from around the world.
When Peter continued his father’s legacy, he met Jeff Morris at a Sotheby’s watch auction in January of 1980. They collaborated to become J&P Timepieces in 1986 passionately selling fine watches. Jeff and Peter now serve as consultants to collectors, museums, and auction houses worldwide including Sotheby’s and Christie’s. They regularly attend prominent watch auctions globally and are members of both the American IWJG and the European WTF.
Over the years, J&P Timepieces have acquired a broad selection of exquisite, preowned and vintage horological pieces of art. From Patek Philippe, to Audemars Piguet, Rolex, A. Lange & Sogne, Cartier and more; Jeff and Peter buy and sell the most elite watches in the world.
